What is Frisbee?
Frisbee, a utility designed by Jemimah, supports wired and wireless internet connections but is used primarily when other connection utilities such as SNS do not connect to wifi or fail to provide a stable wifi connection.
How to open up Frisbee?
Follow these steps to run Frisbee:
- Open up Menu > Setup > Internet connection manager.
- Click Wired or wireless LAN.
- Click Frisbee button.
- This will open up Frisbee.
How to connect to Wireless Network?
Follow these steps to connect to a wireless network using Frisbee:
- Open up Frisbee (Read how to open up Frisbee).
- Go to Wireless Networks tab in the Frisbee window (if not already opened in that tab).
- Wait a few seconds for Frisbee to find your network interface.
- If necessary, you can select the "Restart Networks" button to rescan available network interfaces.
If no wlan? interface is listed then your wireless is probably not recognized and you should request assistance on the Puppy Linux Forum.
- After the scan is complete, select your network (double-click), then press the Connect button.
- Enter your password in the dialog box that appears, then click OK.
- Wait a few moments for Frisbee to confirm your network connection, then press the Exit button.
- Wait a few more seconds until you see another message which confirms your network is active.
- If successful, press "YES SET AS DEFAULT" to make Frisbee the default internet connection manager.
- Now enjoy surfing on the internet!
